Macroconsult has extensive experience and proven leadership in regulatory and competition analysis as applied to infrastructure development in sectors such as electricity, natural gas, hydrocarbons, transportation, water and sewage, and ports and airports.

It offers a wide array of regulatory-economic and competition consulting services. We have worked with our clients in regulatory processes in a variety of industries, advising them with regard to market demand studies, methodologies for calculating prices/rates, productivity factor, calculation of discount rates, etc. Likewise, we have conducted a variety of studies for the public sector regulatory agencies on methodologies to be employed in their oversight responsibilities.

We have also advised our clients on arbitration processes. Our assistance is based on an in-depth knowledge of how the markets in which our clients operate work and our expertise on applying in depth economic analysis to this effect.

In addition, we have extensive experience in the analysis of the conditions of competition in a variety of markets, the identification of relevant markets, discriminatory practices, predatory pricing and the possible effects of vertical or horizontal integration processes. We also assist our clients in the analysis of unfair competition policies, actively interacting with our clients and their legal advisors.
